· Featured Project - Aston University |
|
In 2004 Electron, in conjunction with major systems integrator Damovo, carried out a major new cabling installation for Aston University in Birmingham. The project involved the installation of more than 6,000 Cat 6 UTP outlets in 18 buildings. 55 wiring ventres were linked by more than 25km of singlemode and multimode fibre optic cables.
In September 2005 the project and Dennis Mottram (Aston University Project Manager) were presented with the Communications in Business Award for Outstanding Achievement, Best Networking Project (Corporate) and Best Converged Network Project at the Communications in Business Award ceremony, sponsored by Communications News and Cable & Wireless. |
