Fibre Optic Cabling

As cabling systems become larger and the need to transmit data at ever increasing rates becomes greater the case for fibre optic cabling becomes more relevant. Whether it is used in the vertical backbone or to link buildings across a campus, fibre optic cabling offers the modern, cost-effective solution.

Electron Fibre Optic Cabling

Over recent years there have been a number of developments in fibre optic cables and connectivity. No longer do we simply specify Singlemode or Multimode cable, ST or SC connectors. Now we must consider the applications that are to run over the cabling, the distance that they are to be transmitted, the environment that the cables are to run through and the equipment that they are to interface with. In designing the optimum solution to meet your requirements Electron will consider all of these factors before proposing a specification that will exceed both your performance and fiscal demands.

Electron have been installing cabling infrastructures since 1988 and have gained the experience and expertise to enable us to offer a broad range of cabling solutions. Our fibre optic cabling installation portfolio includes:

Electron are approved installers for the Brand-Rex Blowlite and Krone Sirocco blown fibre solutions. These solutions offer the option to install tubes and then blow in fibres as and when required, thus spreading the cost of the installation and ensuring that fibres with only the precise specification required are installed.

Electron have the capability to carry out on-site terminations using fusion splicing or a variety of direct termination techniques (hot melt, cold cure, crimp, etc.). Testing can be carried out using Power Light Meters or Optical Time Domain Reflectometers (OTDRs) and test results are provided as part of the handover documentation.

Electron place a high priority on delivering the best and most cost effective solution to meet your infrastructure needs. We have three BICSI RCDDs (Registered Communications Distribution Designers) who have received extensive, independent training on all aspects of network design and implementation. All of our engineers are BICSI and/or City & Guilds qualified. All of our procedures are regularly audited and updated and the company has ISO9001 accreditation.

So, whatever your fibre optic cabling requirements, Electron has the capability to offer the highest levels of performance, quality and support, all at a cost effective price. To find out more about communications cabling infrastructures call Electron on 0115 946 1607.
