Electron Win Data Centre Work With Experian

Electron have been awarded a contract worth in excess of £500,000 to install the infrastructure in Experian’s state of the art new £30m datacentre in Nottingham.The completed installation will comprise of over 10,000 copper terminations and 27,000 fibre terminations with 25km of copper and 15km of fibre to install.Having started in November the project is due for completion in April 2004.

Damovo choose Electron

Electron have successfully bid for the right of becoming one of only two suppliers of cabling systems to Damovo UK.After a lengthy tendering process Electron were chosen for a three year partnering and support agreement for cabling services.Electron will give pre and post sales support to all of Damovo’s 100 strong sales force and look to grow the opportunities in the cabling arena.Chris Hickling RCDD commented “Damovo are a worldwide solutions provider with excellent pedigree,winning this type of partnership agreement demonstrates Electrons ability to work at the highest level in infrastructure design & deployment”

Aston University chooses the Electron approach

In partnership with Damovo and Cisco Electron have started the cabling infrastructure at Aston University.With a project value in excess of a million pounds the contract involves the cabling out of over 7,000 Category 6 Brand Rex outlets using ‘intelligent’ patch panels. An extensive OM3/OS1 fibre backbone is also being deployed to cater for future 10 Gigabit traffic.Electron have a permanent on site supervisor co-ordinating what is a predominantly night time cabling exercise.
