As a sub contracted partner, Electron have recabled all of the copper cabling and plastic/metal containment at over 100 London Fire Stations within the M25. The ADC Krone system was installed in very stringent and ‘trying’ conditions. A great deal of ‘pre planning’ was carried out by the Director responsible, Mark Wood. The whole ‘roll out’ was completed within a 5 month period.

Electron have completed a Brand Rex Category 6 shielded installation throughout the 5 star Sofitel St James Hotel in Central London. The £85k project was completed on time and on budget.

Working with one of their partners, Electron have completed a multi-mode and single mode fibre ‘backbone’ refresh at Coors Brewery in Burton on Trent. As well as replacing the core links, Electron also documented all of the legacy ‘blown fibre’ connections.

Electron have undertaken a complete site cabling refresh at Mid York’s Trust. The total project value exceeds £450k and has taken 5 months to complete. An Excel Cat 5e and OM3 fibre system has been installed. At its peak sixteen engineers were on site.

Electron have completed a £350k ADC Copper & Fibre cabling system within the two main datacentres at Heathrow. Mark Wood commented that a further £200k order is in the pipeline for the next phase after a successful implementation replacing old, legacy cabling systems.

The whole project both for copper and fibre was carried out using ‘pre-terminated’ technologies saving ‘vast’ amounts of ‘on site’ time.
